A world of abstract imagery and color

Recognized worldwide for her dynamic compositions and vibrant interplay of colors, Lucie Marlo, Ph.D., creates a magnificent abstract world of optimism, spiritual balance and souls at peace.

“The theme in my paintings is always about maintaining optimism and balance, regardless of life’s trials and tribulations,” says Lucie. “We all have the ability to make choices for our lives, and those choices cause so many other actions and movements to come into play. In the end, we truly have the ability to create a landscape around us – an entire world, really – that serves and
supports us.”

Raised by a well-known artist, it wasn’t a surprise that Lucie began drawing human profiles at the age of three. She dabbled in art – particularly painting – for many years, and began making a name for herself in Realism art before abruptly putting down her brush and walking away from the easel for 11 years.

When she picked up the brush again … 11 years later … a completely different world flowed from Lucie Marlo’s fingertips – paintings of abstract. She was just as surprised as the rest of her family and art peers as beautiful, colorful abstracts began to take shape.

Private collectors and galleries immediately took notice and began heavily investing in Lucie’s original abstract paintings on canvas. Art historians noted the representational symbolism in each of her paintings, and followers of Lucie Marlo’s work kibitz regularly about the “codes” and “riddles” they find in her work.

“For many years, I felt that my creativity was choked,” says Lucie. “I wanted to be free to create without boundaries, to create as far as my imagination can go and as far as my soul can stretch. And … this is what came pouring out.”
